Warm sensation on top of foot coming and going

It's always the left foot, right on the top, comes and goes, feels a bit like warm water. Really annoying, I've not had anxiety symptoms in absolute months. Anyone else had this?

The only thing that comes to mind is that feeling when your foot "falls asleep", ie, low blood flow but that doesn't quite sound like what you're describing.
