My name is Derek. I'm 23 and from Toronto. I am depressed and feel like I don't fit in with most people. I have a mild alcohol dependency. I often find myself in a sad state with nobody to talk to and I hope this forum can help me fill that void. Thank you for including me. :)

Interesting username.. I have a bearded dragon called Phoenix and the mythology behind the Phoenix is some of my favourite :)

I'm a (mostly) recovered alcoholic as well.

Hello and welcome to the forum, Derek. Nice username choice. Depression and I have become quite familiar over the years, so I know that struggle is very real.
