Hello, this is my very first post in the forum and I would like to seek help and advice. After months of not feeling myself, I can only come to the conclusion that I have some form of anxiety, whether it be social or just general anxious tendencies. The strange thing is i'm not shy, i'm far from it, i won't back out of a presentation at work and will purposely talk to important people from other companies etc. My symptoms include: tight chest, nausea, sweaty hands, that obvious anxious feeling, social anxiety (which I've had mildly for years) and one main symptom which is worrying and also majorly annoying... i keep forgetting what i'm talking about mid sentence, which leads to embarrassment and me constantly questioning what i'm saying in my head. Is this common? Are these all symptoms of anxiety or something else? How do I relieve the symptoms, mainly the last one?

I am new here as well. My first thought about the forgetfulness is that maybe you have so much going on in your head - anxiety-wise, life-wise, whatever - that you are already moving on to the next thought, sentence, anxious feeling (i.e. what's that guy thinking about me right now), that you forget where you were in your train of thought... it jumped to a different track. I'm no expert, and I'm brand new here, but my wife has some memory issues, and we think it's related to that kind of stuff.
