Hey all,

Hope you're all getting better. As for me, I've recently started taking Luvox and now Zoloft for depression and OCD, but the insomnia is bad. And I'm one who gets strong depersonalization and dereization when I don't get sleep. It's been awful. I don't know where (more like when) I am a lot of the time. And the OCD is twice as bad. Which makes sleep even worse. It takes me now between 2 - 4 hours of routines just to get to bed :(

I just can't seem to stay up long enough to get really tired, and have a good nights sleep. I wake up at 12:00 and crash by about six. I can't go to work or really do anything but rest. Making matters worse, computer or tv screens really seem to be derealizing me, sucking my mental energy dry. Anyone else get this?

I'd like find someone to chat with on here if that's OK. Feel free to PM me.

I'm praying for you all! Get well as soon as possible!

Welcome. Depersonalization and dereization is normally. Don't worry about it.

Welcome to the forum. I would avoid all stimulants and try to exercise, avoid naps during the day and keep active
which should help you get tired and hopefully get some sleep. You could also try some sleep aids, as without proper sleep
any symptom you may have will appear worse.

Thanks everyone.

I was on Clomipramone 50 mg for two years, but got bad depression under it. Like cry all day type. I then switched to Luvox for two weeks, but couldn't sleep properly and the world felt weird. I then switched to Zoloft, but again the sleep issues persisted. My problem is I get bad anxiety while sleepless and tired. I can't go a full day. I'll wake up, stay active for five hours, then have an anxiety crash. I basically have to retreat to my dark room -- since lights, TV's, computer screens worsen my anxiety. I then get crappy sleep 'till the next morning and the cycle repeats.

My doc said to up the dose to 100 mg Zoloft, but I'm worried the sleep will get worse. Any suggestions?
