It has now been 10 days without cymbalta. I was weaned off of it in a 10 day period. Since I have been off of it I have started Luvox. Ever since I have been off the cymbalta I experience dizziness, zaps at times, nausea, and the worst part is when I wake up in the morning I'm having odd dreams and I wake up and my body is in pain. Has anyone else experienced this coming off of Cymbalta. It worries me that something is wrong. If anyone has past experiences like I am have please let me know. Thanks...

There should be no problem with withdrawal effects from Cymbalta if you already started on another antidepressant. I have no experience of Luvox but you could be experiencing side effects. In any case you should see your doctor.

I have came off of different antidepressants so I do know that jusr because you swap on for another doesn't mean you won't have side effects from the one you came off of. When I came off Paxul I was taking another antidepressant but had side effects of the paxul for weeks

I would talk to the physician who prescribed the medicine to you and explain your symptoms and concerns.

I think you're wrong, but I am no expert

All the symptoms the OP describes are common side effects of Luvox.

I still think it is best to consult with a physician to be on the safe side.

I'm coming off of Cymbalta 20 mg and I fell like I might be having zaps! I've also been using the restroom like crazy! Can anyone explain to me what the zaps feel like?

I came off cymbalta because it was causing extreme bruising> I was ok on cymbalta (not perfect) but i have switched to pristiq. I have been on 4 different meds and nothing seems to be working. I feel like I will never be happy. I have always been a worrier and had constant stomach aches. I was diagnosed with GAD earlier this year but i have been to many doctors and therapist since i was little. I don't know how much longer I can handle it before I crack and have a break down. My mom has said that I have been constantly angry.

I was on Cymbalta for a long time. I had a really hard time with the withdrawl symptoms.

I also found Pristiq better.

I found with coming off the meds that I needed to withdrawl slowly but also supplement with something else to help me. You have to be carefull with a lots of supplments though so talk to your doctor. Some can interact with serotonin.

I found CBD supplments to really help me. They have no THC so are legal in the USA, particularly if they are made from the European Hemp I believe. The one I take is Oil of Sunshine I think.

I take it two times a day, even before starting to come of medications to help ese the transisiton. ONe day I hope to take nothing at all. but the CBD Sunshine is helping for a bit right now.
