Hello everyone. I've been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks since I was in high school back in the 90's.

I can't say I deal with it very well when it's bad. I'm on a combination of Prozac and Mogadon but still get really bad attacks. I find that having a decent GP and psychiatrist helps a lot because you feel as if you have a bit of a support team (both mine are currently on holidays, which is contributing to my current bad state). Places like this help as well.. It's good to just get things out of your head. I also play computer games, listen to music and do deep breathing exercises.

Hello - new gal here with music problem
Hi All
I too started getting panic and anxiety issues when I was a teenager. There is one thing that I would love to know if anyone else gets and its bizarre.
Before I started getting panic attacks, I loved listening to music. Ever since then, I can only listen to one or two songs until I start to feel tense, irritated and like my head will explode if it doesnt stop, not panicky but like its a sensory overload and I need it to be quiet. Im also extremely sensitive to light which gets worse if I have to listen to music. Afterwards I will have bad butterflies for a day or two.
I would like to know what this is caused by.....it affects my life a bit, I dont enjoy music anymore, unless Im drunk, and cant go to a restaurant or cafe with music on.

When my anxiety gets really bad, I can't listen to music either. So that's when I know I have to take a little medication to calm myself down so I can listen to music again.
