Do you ever feel too depressed to eat lunch or dinner?

Sometimes I am--I manage to eat a few unhealthy snacks and I
go to bed hungry. Most people eat too much but I lose my appetite
I don't even want a drink of alcohol then.
It doesn't affect my weight.

Not loosing any weight means squat. There is a name for people who go through life like so; Skiny Fat People. They are just us unhealthy and unappealing. Kind of feeds the depression because most feel that way about themselves.

Not uncommon and moreover quite epidemic in today's medicated world.

For me, depression doesn't affect my appetite.

But when I'm manic, I sometimes don't want to eat anything.

Smiles @ this. I can relate to both sides of coin. :)

Currently, I eat a little lunch and not much dinner and usually no breakfast. It hadn't affected my weight to start with, but I'm starting to lose lbs. All because of anxiety. I've struggled with it since I was a child and have managed to pretend to have it under control off and on for years, but the last several years have been a losing battle. A lot of times, what goes in comes back out. It has become one of the defining controlling factors in my life. I hate it.

I know exactly what you mean. If I don't eat much, I get way more anxiety than if I can eat regularly and healthy. Hard to do but eating is helpful at managing the anxiety. But I understand that some people just can't eat and that is hard.

I go through this as well. Just don't feel like eating at times even though I know I should. Depression is incredibly enervating for me. Just makes me want to sleep the day away. Day after day.

Sometimes I'll end up skipping meals or forgetting to eat entirely or I have to force myself to eat. The opposite happens as well from time to time.

I actually have the opposite effect. I eat a lot of unhealthy food and gain weight, which makes me even more depressed.

I agree with you. It happens most of time with me.
