Anyone taking anafranil-----chlorapitamine

I have been taking this old medicine on a very low dose
and I am not totally happy with it. It is for OCD and anxiety.

Iam still nervous and anxious especially before a trip somewhere.

Have you used it? Do you like it?

I have not used if but my boyfriend is on fluoxitine for his OCD and anxiety, and other things maybe ask your doctor about trying that, because it seems to work for him.

I used to use it years ago but my doctor switched me to Lexapro for less side effects. (it increased my appetite too much)

These old trycyclic antidepressants can be effective for depression but not very good for anxiety. I would go back to your GP and ask to change to a modern SSRI. The two most commonly used seem to be Celexa and Zoloft although there are others.
