Chlorodiazepoxide

I was given chlorodiazepoxide for some alcohol withdrawls. They gave me 25 MGS, but I do not want to take that much because this is my first time being prescribed or taking medication before. I have never tried anxiety meds. Also, I just want to try one pill, but I dont want such a high dosage. Would it be okay if I cut this pill in half and then took it so that it would be about 12 MG's? I just want to take one.

Probably would be okay, but best to check with your pharmacist or doctor. This is not a common medication used for anxiety/depression but your case is different because of the specific addressing of alcohol withdrawal.

Benzos are never used for depression...

I would suggest telling your doctor how you feel about it. I'm assuming she gave you the dose that she thought wouldn't be too high, nor low. Please just discuss this with your doctor. We know nothing of your case lol.
