So the reason I am here is to continue my search for some support in this. My social anxiety is so crippling that right now I am too frightened to walk to the corner gas station just to get me a beer. I hate going outside, especially around this time of day (late afternoon, early evening) when lots of people and kids are outside. Guess I could have gone earlier but I really needed to get some schoolwork done. I am living such a miserable existence that I sometimes wonder if and how I should end it. Sorry for such a negative first post. :(

I think that firstly you need to focus on the positive things of life. Secondly You need to slowly deal with your fear. I obviously recommend professional help, however you should also reflect on why you have this fear. We are humans and we are meant to socialise. In your case you just need to find your ways. I wish you the nest of luck. I would have liked to write further but it is 11.30pm here and it has been a long day. Best of luck and keep strong.

Prince Romeo, first of all; welcome! Are you able to get out of your house during daytime? Or are you isolating yourself more and more?
If your thoughts are serious about ending your life, please find help. If you are afraid to go outside; search for online help.

I only leave my house for very essential matters, for the most part. Like dialysis or other medical appointments. I also go for grocery shopping with my dad (yeah, I depend on my dad). I feel like I am isolating myself more and more. I like to wear my headphones alot to tune out so I won't have to talk with anyone. I am afraid on how I will be judged, specifically on my appearance and mannerisms as well as my high-pitched voice.
I wouldn't consider my thoughts about ending my life that serious because I am afraid to die, but I don't like to be alive either. :(

Prince Romeo, Sorry for my late response. Glad you choose to live and glad to hear you sometimes leave your house. Do you know what the core is of your problems? Are you afraid that people judge you? Are you afraid of people starring at you? What makes that you are isolating yourself more and more? People who suffer from social anxiety have negative thoughts and beliefs that contribute to their anxiety. So, write down your beliefs and thoughts and test them. If you need help in this, let me know! Good luck.

Hello annemieke87.
It's ok about the reply. I understand that everyone gets busy. No worries. Anyways, I think I know the source of my social anxiety but am not totally comfortable sharing this out in the open on the forums. If you want, I could PM you about it because you seem somewhat interested to know. So I definitely agree that social anxiety usually has an underlying issue that conjures it up like an evil spirit. At first, as a teenager, I always thought it came from being depressed. But I know now this is not the case with me.
Thank you for your feedback.

Ok. Thanks! :)

People, adults, teenagers, children, their dogs, insects, cars, socializing, eye contact, staring, getting hurt, not making it back home alive, something going wrong where I would need help, having a panic attack or meltdown, doing something else embarrassing in front of people like passing gas, crying, talking to myself, or emptying my bladder and defecating on myself from so much anxiety (hasn't happened yet but I worry that it can). That's all I can think of for now.
