Oral birth control and Lamictal is bad

I recently got on oral birth control--the lowest dose of the pill. I am on 150mg of Lamictal (lamotrigine) for bipolar-I. I've literally only been on the birth control for 6 days only and already it has completely depleted the effect of the lamictal. i've had tantrums, extreme bouts of random anxiety, on and off crying, feelings of depression that last for an hour and then go away and i feel fine again. it's the worst shit. i'm deciding what to do now because it's really necessary to be on birth control, too, for me.

does anyone else have this problem?
