I want to go back to school not sure exactly how to make it happen.

Hi there. I assume you are trying to complete a college degree. Ask yourself what you want to do in life. Are you good at listening to people? Do you like to work with your hands? Are you quick to learn foreign languages? Can you write computer code? Apply what it is you want to do in life with the programs and majors that align with your interests. If you are working towards your first Associates or Bachelor's degree, there are a lot of free grants and scholarships for you to apply to. The college you get accepted into will have additional scholarships for specific majors as well. :)

If it isn't a college degree you're after, I recommend a tech school. You take take a light class load at first, it's mostly hands on learning rather than a ton of book homework and you can progress at you own pace. If an Associates Degree will be sufficient for your goals, it might be something to consider.
