I've just started taking 150mgs of Zoloft. I switched from 20mgs of Cipralex which I took for many years. I've been on the Zoloft for about 3 weeks now and I'm finding the following side effects to be hard to deal with: feeling depressed, low energy, a feeling that I have adrenaline rushing through my body stemming from my chest, jittery, mild shakiness or tremors. Mornings are the worse for me. Wake up hating to get out of bed, huge amounts of anxiety in the morning, dreading the day ahead, work etc. As the day goes by I feel better and by 1 or 2 I'm doing great. I can sum up that feeling of adrenaline as that runners high that athletes or marathon runners get, but I'm not running a marathon and its very annoying when I'm at work. Any thoughts? I don't recall getting this with Cipralex. Thanks

I am taking Zoloft, but i didn't have same experience as you, my friend is. Zoloft can turn you to zombie mode, but it will help you, i am sure. Talk with your psychiatrist, he will know what to do. Don't give up!

I would suggest finding a good naturopath. Our bodies (and brains) aren't meant to have these drugs in them. There are certain vitamin and mineral deficiencies that directly relate to anxiety and depression. Magnesium and vitamin d are absolutely key. Good luck

I'm not sure but if you were on the other medication for some years it's possible that these are withdrawal symptoms? Have you told your doctor?

Are you speaking from personal experience? I've been thinking of going off the meds completely and dealing with a Naturopath. I told my Psychiatrist and he almost went off the deep end. All I know is that I've been on meds for so many years and not sure if I am any better off. Thanks
