View Full Version : Concerning lump?

I have a bump in my pubic area and it's been there for several days. I assumed it was a pimple as that's how it originally looked but now it's gone very dark, like a mole and I don't know if this is normal. The skin around it is kind of flaky (which happens when I get spots on my face too) but it looks like it's filled with blood maybe? Like a blister? But I'm too scared to touch it or investigate in case it is something else?

I've been suffering constipation lately which has been getting my anxiety up, making me think that I might have ovarian cancer or something. And now a mysterious dark lump is doing nothing to ease my concerns.

So if anyone has any suggestions of what it could be, that would be awesome. Could it still just be a regular spot? It doesn't itch or hurt in any way.

Doctor, you must go to doctor, we are not doctors and can not help you. Instead of suffering with constipation, eat some fiber in veggies and fruit, to have constipation in this age and access to fruit and veggies all year around is just senseless.

Hey Moondreams,

It's definitely a medical matter, so seek a consultation soon. A previous post follows, modified for you.

CONSTIPATION:
Eating more stone fruits, such as peaches, plums, apricots, also figs, will help with constipation. If they're out of season, eat prunes, possibly canned, or soaked in boiling water until soft. Prune juice is another option.

An old remedy is Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate / sulphate). Pharmacies, some supermarkets, or Google supplies. I take less than half a level teaspoon daily; don't overdo it, and start off gradually, with less; a small pinch, until you know how your body reacts. Most people are deficient in magnesium, but magnesium citrate is preferable, although considerably more expensive. Try pharmacies/supermarkets for the magnesium supplement types at http://www.naturalnews.com/046401_magnesium_dietary_supplements_nutrient_abso rption.html & http://www.real-depression-help.com/magnesium-for-depression.html

You need to drink plenty of water; most people don't drink enough.

Increase the fibre in your diet; eat more vegetables (not so much potatoes, or corn) and fruit; much less flour products such as bread and pasta; switch to wholemeal. Try seed and nut loaf. Have either bran cereal or oatmeal for breakfast. Add psyllium; (health food stores; some supermarkets) I have a heaped teaspoonful, daily, and it helps a lot.

From http://www.homeremediesweb.com/constipation_home_remedy.php "Psyllium is a wonderful treatment for constipation, which is why it is a common ingredient in many over the counter laxatives. Therefore, a simple remedy is to take 1 teaspoon of psyllium mixed into a glass of juice three times a day until your constipation is relieved. Be sure to drink the mixture immediately to prevent it from thickening, since it may become more difficult to swallow. Also, drink plenty of water throughout the day when using this remedy".

Don't rely on commercial laxative products in the long term.

Nowucass your post are good, but any human beings knows that junk food is not good for them, that they need to eat veggies, they say about it on TV on internet.............. I it kind of childish to come here and talk about such problem instead of going to doctor. No not suppose to offer herbs advice if you are not trained herbalist. I have the feeling that you take the info from google. Nothing wrong with it, but maybe do not serve everything on plater.
A lot of herbal supps can have interaction with meds. I can not take Magnesium due the meds I am on.
"Psyllium is a wonderful treatment for constipation, which is why it is a common ingredient in many over the counter laxatives. Not really that effective, without changing the diet nothing will work

That constipation issue in on the rise due to junk food. The same with people having their gall bladders taken out. I started taking the psyllium husks (Metamucil) but got the doses wrong and not enough water ... it made me worse! I learned the hard way. Since eating lots of "stone" fruits and other watery fruits to help hydrate and also fibress veggies not over cooked, but cooked enough for my digestive abilities, and combined with some cold press veggies juic and bla bla bla bla bla:

Point is - your hit the nail on the head Dahila, with much of the information only scratching the surface. There are so many variables to consider and the dynamics change greatly from person to person.

The only thing I would add or ask people to consider, is that it's not just as simple as eating fruits and veggies anymore. Hydration I think is the first point of call to correcting imbalances. However hydration is more about eating the right fruits and veggies that work for each individual as much as drinking fresh drinking water.

I understand people rely on medication and hopefully it's working well for those who claim it does, however many medications dry the body out. I know I never at well when I was taking my meds and on top of that I was eating junk thinking I was doing well. I was lucky though - I made a life style change in the nick of time. Had I not decided to start eating right, I know I would be death warmed up about now

Yadda Yadda - I don't know ... just sharing what's on my mind. Meeting you Dahila has given me a good education on many things. Both my liver and kidney + my eczema. I really owe you for that. :)

Thanks Heaps. PS - my information is probably all wrong ... it just seems to work for me is all

Later guys ... hope you have a good day on your end.

Is really good to see you positing again Dahila. :)
