Do you ever leave a place, that is really noisy, and it still feels noisy like you can still hear the noise, when you get home?

Seems possible, loud noise certainly stimulates the central nervous system and your adrenal glands which could give you a post-environment effect.

You don't have poor adrenal glands, the noise is your issue. I'm suggesting the noise is over stimulating your nervous system/adrenal glands. Earplugs maybe at the place you are spending time with loud noise? You cannot get used to an unhealthy environment that is extreme for a long period of time. You either need to block the acoustic overstimulation or remove yourself from the environment.
