Has anybody taken Venlafaxine or Cymbalta combined with Mirtazapine?

I'm not sure if they do this in the USA because of fear of serotonin syndrome, but has anybody ever taken the above combination of SNRI plus Mirtazapine when the SNRI has started to poop out?

Ah, California Rocket Fuel. I've taken this, but not because my SNRI pooped out.

It's pretty powerful stuff. I remember it being effective. Mirtazapine works in a unique way, so the theory is it'll stimulate certain neurotransmitters not reached by the other anti-depressant. Maybe it was placebo, but I felt personally that was the case. Added a certain dimension to my personality that mental illness had taken away.
