Zooloft dosage increase & increased anxiety????

Hi,

I stepped up my Zooloft from 25 mg to 50 mg around 5 days ago. Today and yesterday I have found that my anxiety levels have significantly increased - I feel like I am about to jump out of my skin right now. Finding it really hard to be somewhat relaxed at all. I have read that this can happen, and that it takes at least 7-10 days before this starts to settle down.

However, I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this? I have some anxiety/depression at the moment - to put it mildly. Thanks.

The phenomenon which you described here is a common thing among patients who start medications and in dosage's increasing .
In fact i by myself had felt an intensified anxiety while the increasing of the medication Cipralex .
Anyway you can call to your physician and ask him\her about .

I've been on 200MG of Zoloft at one time, I will take a little time for you moods to stabilize, but you should notice a difference after a few weeks. Just make sure you don't forget a dosage and try to take in the same time every day.

I am on Zoloft from a long time, I feel exactly the same you have explained when I have started this medication. It takes time to work and you will feel better after a few days.
If it doesn't work for you, just ask your doctor to change the meds.

When I used Zoloft for the first time, actually not zoloft but Setaloft but it is the same I remember in first week it made no changes, maybe i felt even more anxious, then from end of second week I started to feel better slowly.

Unfortunately it stopped working after a year. :S
