Here's a list of what has helped me in a significant way:
1. Staying informed with latest trends and news.
2. Learning by taking courses or reading a book/article.
3. Taking on public speaking by joining Toastmasters which involved experimenting a lot.
4. Increasing my testosterone by working out and staying healthy.
5. Avoiding negative or illicit content whenever possible.
6. Reinforcing relationships by scheduling calls and meetings with anyone I respect or admire including family and friends.
7. Traveling. This helps broaden the mind. Do it.

There you have it. I hope others can relate or find these tips useful.
EDIT: I've also used beta blockers to assist in dealing with uncertain situations like public speaking or being around a bunch of strangers who I need to get to know.

I joined a gym and worked out regularly for 5 years, also hired a trainer. ( I need to get my Butt back in there)
Made myself go out on Friday nights
Took dance lessons.

Thanks! Exercise and socializing (even if it's difficult) are essential to improving social anxiety. On occasion, I use propranolol which I get from my doctor or blockthefear.com whenever I don't feel like paying for a consult. It's a godsend for things like public speaking which gets rid of the racing heart, sweating, and stutters.

Moving to the country. Leaving the brutal traffic and intrusive people behind has really helped me relax and enjoy being outside again. I didn't realize until we moved just how much of a positive effect it would have on me.

Stopped taking the meds, eating the food and started breathing fresh air growing my own. Turned off the TV, stopped listening to the news and started thinking for myself. Learning to accept what I cannot change and change what I can. Gave up the chase for continuous happiness and a fulltime need for anything I do not have. Ultimately to disconect from main stream imprinting, ideals and beliefs.

Only then, am I able to heal from such a cancerous growth and help others find thier way.
