I don't know if a person can just stay in chat and be on here too, probably not. Most chat rooms have a bell when some one enters.
I check every so often, odds are I'll eventually hit it when some one is on.

Chat room logged me out. Maybe that is why no one uses it.

I was on quite a while and was reading threads at the same time. I'm also using a mac so was surprised to get on at all. It said log back in, but I was logged in. Couldn't get out or in for about five minutes. Left the site and came back and was back in. Does this happen with a PC? I don't usually use chat rooms. I don't type fast enough.
Oh, some Mac shortcut mean something different on a pc. Might have hit a command key at the same time. It isn't important.
Why has no one set up a scheduled chat time? You can always go private if you don't like who is on.

Chat room is on left hand side bottom of page, on right hand side is individual chat and it kicks people out after some time
No one her is chatting, Most of people do not come here to chat but to educate themselves.

And you can't do that in a chat room? Or PM? I'd have to disagree, If you have something to offer does it matter where?

The chat room used to be so busy, but then they changed the layout and everybody stopped using it.

It also doesn't work on mobile devices, which means a lot of people don't even know it's there.

What do people do when they have looked at all the threads and answered what they want. Some sites have games to fill in time. A chat room can be good support when a person is freaking out or it can just be fun. Nothing wrong with fun. It can be a place to compare therapy. That can lead to fights though if people strongly disagree.
My computer lets me know when someone posts something I'm interested in so I can go to another site or do something entirely different. Chat room is closed to me again. I think it has a glitch.
