A week into sertraline and massive panic attacks

Hello i changed from sertraline to citolopram,
i waited a couple of weeks before the transition
i am on 20mg of sertraline

however now, 7 days into the sertraline my anxiety is through the roof, its at the highest point

even when i started taking citolopram a year back, true i had side affects for the first week or two, but my anxiety didnt go through the absolute roof

i feel terrible on sertraline, worse than actually taking them

my anxiety is so bad

for example one of my anxiety is about burgularys, so i have literally just spent the last hour scouring through the news about burgularys in my region just to ``reassure myself`` that im safe
honestly, im so sick of this anxiety, should i go off sertraline? even if it is `early days` i dont think i can bear this much more

Well I can reassure you that it's quite normal for your anxiety to be so bad at that point. These meds knock you around a lot for the first couple of weeks. Try and take it easy.

Give it another 7 days. If no improvements have taken place, talk to your doctor about switching.
