Phone psychotherapy

Does anyone have experience with therapy on the phone with a therapist long distance or if you couldn't get there in person some reason? I'd be interested to hear what kinds things worked well this way and what didn't. I'm considering offering this to my clients.

I would consider phone therapy if I truly believed that the therapist was an expert in the particular type of anxiety issues that I had. It would be far better than wasting time with a local therapist who I felt was on a different wavelength and therefore offered no real insight into my condition.

I would be more willing to participate in CBT/NLT over the phone, though not so much talk therapy in general.
