Your mom is probably right that you will get over the anxiety. But you might need some help in order to do so. Would your parents be amenable to your talking with a therapist? If that cannot be arranged, there is probably a school psychologist you could talk with. And if your school does not have a psychologist, you could try a guidance counselor. I suspect you will do much better in getting over this if you can talk with a counselor of some sort, rather than suffering in silence.
