Hi I'm new to this forum and I just wanted to introduce myself to the community. I'm Chris, and I am dealing with some really bad nervousness, shaking and puking. I've been locked inside my house and I've lost my job as well.

I'm trying to drink to try and get over this shaking but the alcohol is not even staying down. I am developing a fear of going outside and even talking to people, when I do, I get so scared I start shaking and can't even think, has anyone ever dealt with this before?

-Chris

Hey, Chris - that really blows

And welcome, by the way

I have seen people here with severe agoraphobia. Taking a drink to take the edge off and for a little calm every now and again is fine but if you unable to even hold it down, I would suggest you give the alcohol a rest

Where you are, medication may be a great start if you are not currently taking anything yet. Medication will get you to a more calm and even place in your mind so you can start analyzing yourself to try and figure what is causing your fears

Therapy at the stage you are in would be beneficial as well. Just so you can get some CBT tips to start the process
