Psychiatrist just prescribed me 100 mg three times daily, I really haven't read to much on this meds. If anyone is taking or has taken this med, could you give me some info, or experiences on this med? Thank you in advance.

I've been on Pregabalin (very similar) for pain and it sort of helped with anxiety. It mainly helped me stay asleep longer, which is good when you're very anxious and need sleep (it was during a time of huge stress for me when my mum was very ill). It's a weird medication but I never had any bad side effects from it other than a bit of a headache when I first had it, and I never got addicted to it.

Panic I am on the same dose for over 3 years. I have no side effects; the only one is my anxiety seems to be well controlled first time in the last 30 years. No panic attacks either

Hi. I have recently been doing some research on this because I have been having some very negative experiences on this drug. Though not everyone has had the same side effects as I have, many have, and they're too specific for me to ignore. I have been forgetting names and words since I started this drug. Also, my ability to concentrate has been severely adversely affected, and I have a lot of trouble thinking deeply. I am almost 100% positive that these are effects of the drug because not only have these symptoms been reported by a close friend of mine, but also because people on other forums have also reported them. I started this drug about 3 months ago. Before that, I was relearning some mathematics that I had neglected for years, and was not having much trouble doing so. Now, however, it is nearly impossible. I have stopped taking the drug for 5 or 6 days now. The first few days I experienced HEAVY anxiety, what some might rate as intolerable, but since I've been living with it for, well, an entire 50 yr life, it only approaches that. I was taking 300 to 600 daily for anxiety, and then cold-turkied (probably not the best thing to do). Yesterday my anxiety was really heavy again, so I did end up taking 100 twice. Today I have vowed not to take it again. I am back on the hydroxazine, even though it makes me really tired.

Anyway, that's my two cents. I do hope you are among those who don't have the side effects I have described. I wish I were, because I also noticed that the drug helped ameliorate some of my physical pain issues. My biggest pain issues are directly proportional to my consciousness of this world.

Good luck.
