So I've always suffered with mild anxiety issues, such as social anxiety. It started to get worse since I started to work as a health care professional. Never really knew what it was, or knew that this isn't what normal people feel- until I met normal everyday patients who have these issues, and realized that this is what was happening to ME.

It all made sense...

So i've been just coping with anxiety and now panic attacks for the last 2 years- pretty moderate, but I'd like to get help incase it gets worse.

I have a family doctor, should I schedule an appointment with her to talk about this? What will be done in the process? Will I have to attend therapy? See a psychiatrist? Will she give me medications directly?

Thank you

xo Em

It cannot get physically worse, only better. If by worse you mean limiting your life experiences and joy than yes. Yet in the end even those perceived limitations, however hard they are to bare at the moment, will bring gifts unimaginable to you, and open new avenues of expression that will fulfill and enrich your life beyond measure. If you could see all of this now through reason alone, the lessons could not be learned through practical application.

Allow the answers to your questions to unfold naturally, as the process develops, take the first difficult step. Trust your inner self as you would a flower to blossom, not by reason alone or force of will, but by the magic of the spirit as it operates within you. This trust is important in overcoming fear.

Because without inner trust, there is no security in your tomorrows, no matter what you physically do

Scheduling an appointment with your doctor isn't a bad idea, but it's hard to predict exactly what will happen.

Most likely they will off your meds and maybe suggest therapy.

Treatment is different for each person.. also depends on what you chose to do.

Good luck :)
