Is it normal to feel a feeling of utter gloom and hopelessness when under levels of high/sensitive anxiety? I just feel so hopeless about my future and life in general tonight....

When I'm experiencing high levels of anxiety my depression usually starts kicking in as well. From my personal experience I would say it seems pretty normal to me for that to happen. Anxiety puts a magnifying glass over everything and if you're focusing on a particular issue or situation it could make you feel hopeless.

Hope things start looking up soon.

That's true. I always had high hopes for my future, problems didn't seem that scary, I knew I'd figure something out. I kept hope, I coped, I lived, during this episode of high anxiety though, it makes every worry seem hopeless.

You're not alone. Sometimes you don't know what is real or just in your own mind. It's hard to believe but there's more optimism than we allow when we're going through this. Keep chugging on. Try to get help. Keep writing.
