I've been taking sleep formula pills for 7-8 years now. For the past year or so, I've taken them at least once a week.

If I stop taking them, will I go through withdrawal?

I doubt you'd have physical withdrawals but psychological, probably.

Yeah hard to say because how does one know what's physical and what's psychological? Try it and see :)

I said, I only take them once a week, and I sleep fine the other 6 nights without it.

Castelion what's going on with you? Are you like 6 years old. People telling you that you will sleep like a rock and you will.!!! I am trained herbalist and it does nothing for you if you take it once a week. I can not even imagine why you take it?

Are you sure I'll be fine?

Absolutely, I am and I am the oldest person on this forum. You can trust me. Herbs are not like meds they need an excessive use and years to cause dependency. I had never seen dependency on herbs. You are safe:)) I am so sure that you are going to be fine:)) I wish I could do like you just take once a week a herb or supplement and sleep like a rock. I do suffer with insomnia my whole life..........:)

How many times a week do you suffer from insomnia?

jessed03
05-23-2015, 09:26 PM
I used to take all of that daily, in much higher doses, while I was experimenting with sleep and anxiety. Many times I'd run out and would go several days without my supps. Nothing happened. Nothing in that ingredients list is addictive or is likely to cause any type of physical withdrawal effect if taken occasionally. You'd suffer more withdrawals from a weekly glass of wine.

Stop letting your anxiety get the better of you. Auntie Dahila has spoken. Next time she'll get her shoe.. ;)

CastletonSnob

But shouldn't I be able to sleep well every night of a week?

jessed03
05-24-2015, 12:11 PM
I don't really know what you're asking. It sounds like you're getting stressed out about something inconsequential.

Bottom line, from where I'm standing, is take the supps if you want to, or don't take them. They're not that powerful, so I think either way you're going to be perfectly fine. Over-evaluating your sleep habits like this will do far more harm than good. Sleep is supposed to be something spontaneous, not something you put a great deal of thought in to.

Insomnia is a disease and is constant, not twice a week :)))

I dunno, Dahls.

The African community centre near my house has a party every Friday and Saturday night. They play their drums so loud I never manage to sleep. ;)

BTW is that possible that we have Kyle Morgan again?

Sorry to bump, but I think the problem is I worry I won't sleep at all if I'm not asleep in 20-30 minutes, so I take one.

I'm sorry to bother you guys, but I have pretty bad anxiety. Well, obviously I have anxiety, or I wouldn't be here.

You want to trade? It takes me about two hours to fall asleep of course with help of medication. Men stop making mountain out of the hill

Aww that's no good. Sometimes I fall asleep straight away.

Alcohol is the worst sleep aid ever - wake up after four hours and can't get back to sleep if your life depended on it.

I think what Nixon means is that if you drink enough alcohol you won't get morning wood the next day. You can just sleep right through till 12 and don't have to fight Misslizzyg's husband for the porn.

I can vouch for the magical sleeping powers of booze. I was introduced to the concoction known as Caribou Lou recently. Being a miserable lightweight j went from completely sober and wide awake to drooling in an epic 16 hour beauty coma.

Sleep is my natural enemy. I think it is a waste of time, and it doesn't come easily, so when I need the sleep it often eludes me until I just pass out somewhere in exhaustion.

I think it is plausible to develop an emotional dependence on sleep aids if they become part of a coping routine.

PS. I have never woken up after a night of drinking with morning wood either, so it must be golden.

So they could tame the morning wood qnd they can get to work without humping the water cooler upon arrival

NixonRulz

It's not men NEED porn, they look at it because they can

And more importantly, it's free these days.

At least that is what I am told

Let's not be too hasty here. Some water coolers do have fantastic figures. If I find an old cigarette lying around, I just place it on the cooler and pretend it's GypsyLee.

I didn't want to mention that but I tend to bring a bottle with me to the office

Water coolers, copy machines, the janitor...etc

They all become kinda appealing

Like I said, I remember a few years ago where there were weeks where I'd take them 4-6 nights a week. And a few years ago, even with them, I'd be up until 1 or 2 in the morning. Now, I take them and fall asleep in 10-20 minutes.

I guess I'm getting a little better.

CastletonSnob
06-15-2015, 07:36 AM
Update: I did it! I slept well every night last week without the sleep formula pills. And I didn't go through withdrawal or rebound insomnia.

I guess I'm not dependent on them after all.
