I am on four different anxiety medications. Today I have only taken my Klonapin, so far. I feel really, really out of it! I can normally take all my medication without feeling like this. I'm not sure what is going on. It's kind of scaring me. I know I really overreact to symptoms and dwell on them, but it is something I can't help. I feel like I'm getting better. My recovery from anxiety has been extremely slow and I've had many, many set backs, but I feel like I'm at least moving forward. Anyway...why would Klonapin be making me feel really REALLY drowsy and drugged up this morning. It usually never does this to me. I normally take it after breakfast, but there have been times I've taken it before and it hasn't done this to me. I'm a bit scared. For breakfast I had a cup of black coffee with two packets of artificial sweetener, half a grapefruit, a piece of toast and a teaspoon of peanut butter on it. I also drank 16 ounces of water. This is a pretty normal breakfast for me. I eat extremely little. I often have to force myself to eat. I don't know if this is my anxiety or not. I do have GERD, which rares it's ugly head when I have anxiety. I can vomit half a gallon of stomach acid. Okay, I know that is gross. I'm sorry, but that is what happens to me. I am kind of afraid to take my other medications. I'm also on one for asthma, which I haven't taken yet. I've taken my daily multivitamin, iron pill (suffered extreme anemia a few years back), my Metformin (I suffer from PCOS, not diabetes), and my thyroid pill (I'm hypothyroid). However, I haven't taken my other two anxiety medications or my asthma medication. I take three anxiety medications in the morning, two at night and I have one that I take as an "emergency medication" when I'm suffering from bad anxiety or a panic attack. So, I take a total of three anxiety medications regularly and one additional one as needed. Sorry if that was confusing. Could me feeling so drugged be because I took the Klonapin and not the others (can't even think of their names right now)? I know I need to get up and clean my toad (I have many pets and they are my life), but just giving my dogs fresh water, putting flea/tick medication on my Pug and watering and trimming one plant has exhausted me. I usually have so much energy that I don't know what to do with it all...

I have days that the klonopin makes me really tired, others I feel great! I don't take anything other than klonopin and latuda though, hope it got better for you through out the day!

I'm on 0.5 mg of Klonopin that I take on an as needed basis. Sometimes when I take it, it really helps and takes the edge off and I feel calm with mental clarity and then there are other times when I feel like it doesn't help nearly as much as it could. I've been worried about building a tolerance to its effects but I do think it depends on the situation. If I take it when I don't really need it, it doesn't help much. It's worth noting that I take Klonopin very infrequently, about every three to four weeks or so. It's strange, sometimes it's a wonder drug and other times it leaves something to be desired.

I should also note that I take klonopin 2 times a day everyday, until I become stable on the Latuda. I wish it was infrequently! Hope you had a better day!

I am on Klonopin 0.5 mg a day for over hm 3 years now and I do not need to up it. I know someone who is for 18 years on it on the same dose of xanax and never needed more. I would think it is connected to feeling safe, after taking it. It is such small dose .....I had not real panic attack for over two years :))

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm currently really doped out on my three anxiety medications and just struggling to function. I take 1 mg of Klonapin in the morning and 1mg at night. However, I'm allowed to take 1 mg every 8 hours. I'm on a high dose because my anxiety is so bad. 4mg is actually the absolute most you can take in 24 hours and I'm allowed to take that. Of course, I haven't yet. My anxiety is extremely severe. I don't get why some days my medication makes me feel great and other days I am doped out of my mind. That is how I'm feeling now. I don't like feeling this way. It is really hard to function and actually makes me a little nervous. However, I'm way too drugged to have anxiety over it. lol I'm wondering if there is a correlation between my medication and the amount of sleep I get. I only slept for 2 hours last night. I don't know why. I have had problems sleeping for over 10 years (about 11). My medication is continuously being increased in an attempt to get my anxiety under control. I've haven't even been on these meds for 2 years, though.

When I was taking benzos, I was the same way. Sometimes it made me feel kinda normal, other times tired or high as hell.

I did figure it out after a while. If I was generally in a good mood and was occupied, benzos made me calm. Almost like I wasn't on them. Having a rough day or upset about something, I felt like I was drugged out.

I agree with NixonRuiz. Same experience with klonopin. Some days i felt normal, some days i could sleep all day, and other days i felt drugged. You may also be feeling out of it because you didnt take the other meds.

I've take both Lorazepam and klonopin (not together) and I would experience that at times, more so with klonopin though. as of lately, klonopin was making me feel super drained or didnt seem to help my anxiety so I stopped taking it. Only been a couple days so still adjusting back to normal.. feeling pretty out of it. I think it's normal with benzos. My husband takes lorazepam daily and sometimes it will make him super tired for no reason

I cut back to one pill for a few days due to it making me feel as if I was drugged up. Then back to normal :)
