Ok so I am Agoraphobic and have to take a trip to the doctor's on Tuesday as my medication (effexor) appears to have stopped working. However, due to agoraphobia a trip to the doctor's is a heck of a nightmare. Does anyone have any tips to make this easier? I am terrified and getting anxious just thinking about it.

I have this issue too. It's really difficult, but I try and have a close friend or my boyfriend go with me. It helps, because at least I know I'm not alone.

It doesn't completely make the anxiety and underlying panic dissipate, but it helps enough to let me keep my sanity long enough. Haha
