I feel so lost right now. I did really have huge anxiety issues until after my dad passed away very suddenly. That was just over 4 years ago.
Right now my anxiety is so bad I can't even work. It started this week when I impulsively bought a pet rabbit. After I got her I was so panicked I made the wrong decision. My mother could see it was effecting me so decided to keep the rabbit for herself.
Now my anxiety has changed to my feeling guilty that she has my mistake.
When I say all this aloud I can see how crazy it sounds! But why doesn't my brain see that?!?!
Help!!!

Grieve properly. See someone.
The rabbit was not a mistake, it was symbolic of love. Filling the gap so to speak. But the gap in your heart can only be filled with hope, and expectancy, that life will be safe, secure, and meaningful after the loss.
The loss was not your fault, have no regrets about things unspoken, since you weren't able to tell him certain things because of the quick passing. No guilt, some prefer to pass quick rather than a slow drawn out painful process. Dad had finished his time. Now, he says, my childs time has just begun. He wants for you a fulfilling, life filled with love and joy. He is forever in your heart.
And "keep the rabbit", let it remind you of newness, that life goes on in its circle of birth and death. Care for it, and listen to the lessons it teaches you.
