So after a night out with my friends on Saturday we all came home and had a Valium to help us sleep, we sat around and chilled for a few hours before bed, I felt relaxed not anxious and for once in my life NORMAL! No wonder why people with medical psychological problems turn to drugs! As an anxiety sufferer Valium seems the cure but like all drugs ( legal or not legal prescribed or bought in an alley) it just isn't.
But now I have to resist when I'm really anxious the need to feel normal and get a Valium in so I can sleep!

Benzos are like sweet poison. I love the thought of them. I love knowing there's a little pill that will make all the bad stuff go away if it ever gets too much, but I hate how tempting they are. When the struggle's real, and when you're tired as fuck, it's so tempting to just give up the fight and rest for a while on them. Just like that you can find yourself hooked.
Good on you for resisting. I'm serious. I got myself into a nasty hole because of them. I didn't even care about the buzz, the relaxed feeling, or anything like that. I just needed to feel normal again. It can be quite a way back.

Yep I've been there with benzos as well. I was never able to take them just occasionally because they were *such* a temptation. I was lucky in that I didn't find them that difficult to withdraw from (not as difficult as everyone says) but I went through some very bad times when I'd run out of a script and have to get them again somehow. In the end I just got sick of the whole thing but the temptation is always there because of just how "normal" they make me feel.
Cheers :)
