You need to make an appointment with your doctor to find out what you have. Did you self diagnose the candida overgrowth or did a doctor tell you this is what you have? You won't really know what's causing it until you get checked out. There are other reasons for intestinal candida overgrowth.
If you are worried about HIV, you can also have the doctor test you for that or you can buy a test at your local pharmacy OTC and send it in for a confidential test first to see what the results are...
Either way, if you are not feeling well, I think seeing your doctor is your very best bet and it will put your mind at ease to finally know what is causing your problems. There is no need to alarm your grandmother about anything just yet. Just let her know that you are going for a checkup.
I wish the best for you and try to keep your worries in check until you know more about your situation. Sometimes our fears can make us more sick, causing even more problems.

I agree with the above post. Best case, you don't have HIV. Worst case you do. But without actually going to the doctor you are going to get all the stress of the second option without even a chance of getting rid of that stress until you see a doctor. Yes it's scary. But the only way to move past that is to take a brave, and yes scary, step. You can do it :)

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing worsening symptoms but I think some of it can be related to the anxiety and worry you are having about being ill. Please keep us posted about what's going on with you and hoping you can get in to see a doc soon. Hang in there. Our memories have a way of doing that to us sometimes. It is not out of the ordinary. You are going through a type of crisis right now and you are dealing with unresolved feelings. It's ok to feel them and experience them. You are worried and anxious. It's time to talk to someone. Again, please keep us posted. Take care.
