I have been waiting many months for a CBT appointment. In the meantime would a diary be useful during my self help?
It would record feelings of anxiety each day. Good days and victories against anxiety or panic and how you felt leading up to the success during and after. For example an outing to a busy or distant place.

But also record bad days and set backs and how you could have done things different to make a better outcome or what you did or failed to do that caused a set back.

Also record things in general, like outside stresses that may add to anxiety, in that way you build up patterns and better understand when anxiety is likely to be worse.

Any other ideas of things to record?
