Cinderella Suicide

Hi everyone. I just found this forum today and thought I'd say hi. I've been diagnosed with depression for many years now... I am treated with medications and therapy... but I still have some low times. Lately I have been in one of those low times. It gets so tiring having to pretend and act like everything is okay when it really isn't. Pushing all those negative thoughts aside is a lot harder and takes more out of a person then you'd think.

Embrace the feeling instead of running from it. People spend too much time running from their true self. Its ok to be who you are.

PS - Then once I work out why and its OK to be who I am - then I can change how I feel. I hear ya though life on this rock can be so draining with so many people on it. ;)

Hi Cinderella :)

I tend to think it's a bit strange if people AREN'T depressed with the way the world is. If you're at all sensitive or you think for yourself, you're bound to be depressed in a sick society like ours.

Of course, there's depression and there's DEPRESSION where you can't even function, and I've been there.

Hang in there. You're in good company here.

Cheers,
Gypsy :)

Absolutely..NO.

Again, why would you want to believe that? Does it make you feel good? I addressed this in your other thread "shopping malls" (before it was hijcked, ignore that last loong post by another member.)

Look what you are attracting to you. Take responsibility.

You see, I won't give up on you. Your worth it.

Should you one day believe the complete opposite of your quote above, your life would be magical.

Our society IS sick. I could write a thesis on this and indeed many people have. I don't want to argue about it but I dare say it is a fact. I try to take responsibility for myself (and injustices I see every day) in every way I possibly can. But I can't change this planet single-handedly, unfortunately.

I'm in a pretty good place atm actually, considering. I do appreciate your help and concern (and I think our conversation was quite cathartic) but I don't like having my beliefs picked on in various threads around the forum. Even if it was something completely wrong I was saying, I don't think it's helpful to criticise someone like that. I did think about what you said re Xmas in the other thread. I still think it's horribly commercial and stressful, but I do take in what people say.

Bye for now :)
