Hi everyone! My name is Jeanne, and I joined this community today hoping for a couple friends and some useful advice. I'm 25 years old and suffer from anxiety, panic attacks, severe depression, epilepsy and endometriosis. Any one of these health disorders might be manageable; together, they're a wall that make existing normally difficult (if not impossible) to do.

My anxiety and panic attacks kicked in when I was 17. I went from being an outgoing, confident, popular teenager to avoiding social situations, and my symptoms have grown more severe over time. My ideal day involves sleeping 20 hours and never leaving the house.

I take medicine that dulls my nervous reactions and panic attacks, but the real 'cure' in my life is my dog. If I have my collie with me, I can function like I used to... leave the house, enter new situations, approach strangers, make friends, and resist the urge to crumble into a hundred pieces. She also helps my depression to a lesser degree. Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed in many places, so I'm still searching for help.

It was a pleasure finding this community, and I look forward to getting to know many of you better. :)

Hi, I know someone who is making her dog a service dog for her anxiety. Then she can take her dog everywhere. Maybe you can do that?

Aww, hello!
I'm new too, but hi!
I have a one year old labrador pup called Zoella, and she is everything to me, and i would not be alive without her. I have only ever had one panic attack while with her, and we were in a field and she sat on me and licked my face and cuddled me until I felt okay again! I know exactly how you feel, I wish I could take her to school .. :(
Best wishes, lara (15)
Let me know if i can do anything! (same applies to anyone reading)
