First major anxiety issue

Hey all- I have been active on here for a while now, and I notice a lot of the population begin to have major anxiety issues around when they reach adulthood (18-21). Why is this so common? Is it because major stressors of adulthood exacerbate the anxiety? Just curious and looking for some answers. Feel free to share.

That was my age range for my first round of attacks as well.

I am assuming it is a lot of change and stress,

College, entering the real world, self reliance, Adult hood, adult choices, beginning of serious relationships etc. I think its a culmination of everything that just elevates the stress levels.
