short breathed

Does smoking all night (mostly vaping) and alcohol cause shortness of breathe after climbing an escalator?
I don't generally suffer with short breathe but I was a little puffed out. Also does adrenaline make you short breathed?
worried it could be my heart or something.

Vaping is a lot healthier than smoking, but you're still inhaling foreign substances into your lungs. It can heighten anxiety and anxiety does produce excess adrenaline which can certainly contribute to a tight chest or feeling or not getting enough air in your lungs.
