Hey Guys,
So I had posted a new thread in "General Discussion" around 4-5 days ago and got an automated response that my post would be available after it is approved by a moderator.
How long does it take for a moderator to approve these posts around here ?
It was a genuine post and Definitely cannot be mistaken as a duplicate/spam post.
Also, I had sent a PM to a couple of moderators.. Never got a response from them !
Looking for a response here.
G'day

I think you need to have at least ten posts :) welcome to the forum
I can't give you an "official" response because I have no official role here.... (Indeed, it is not clear to me that anyone does -- I have occasionally seen some references to a moderator, but I have never seen any evidence of it). When I first signed up here I made a long post and got the same message, and then my post never appeared on the board - as best I could tell. I was slightly confused and annoyed. But I went to the General Forum and made another post, and that one showed up with no delay and no problem. So I hope I am wrong but maybe your post will never appear. If that happens, I would encourage you to try again. I have been on some more useful forums than this one, but there are people here who can be helpful and encouraging, and there is a fair amount of accumulated experience with various forms of anxiety. So it is worth the second effort. Best wishes.

They want me to spam 10 posts before I can start a thread ? Sounds incorrect to me.
I mean, you can't ask a man who has come here with an issue to first make 10 posts in the forum before his issue is addressed.
Thank you for your reply. Nice to virtually meet you. :-)

It was a MIGHTY long post, with complete detail.
I had spent a long time typing it. Considering that my issue is with vision and I cannot stare at my laptop for long, it is almost impossible to type the whole thing again !
I wish I had copied the post, but I never expected my post to be "lost" in the first place.
Thank you for your reply.

the forum is moderated, believe me. I do not report spam very often but when I do, it is gone quicly. You can see that forum is very clean, no trolls :)

Well yeah..
This is a paid forum platform they're using. They must be taking it seriously.
But I am not sure why would they not approve my post..? The 10 post reason is lame ! Maybe they missed it or something..?
It would be of great help if some moderator could reply or find my post. It cannot be tough.

I am on a few forums and most of them have limits of Pm or threads. It is for safety of forums :)) jUst post in a few welcome threads and you will be fine

Dahila,
First of all, accept my compliments for your name. It is unique.
Now, I understand the minimum post limit on posting threads. But, when there is a "moderator approval" message being displayed, it means that the post was accepted by the forum and now needs a moderator to approve it. So, the minimum post count issue is irrelevant.

Something must be wrong with the thread you are trying to post. Try again. Make a new thread:)
