Hi! I'm new here!

I'm a PHD student studying biology, and I suffer from social anxiety and an inability to concentrate due to excessive worry about everything.

I have a few close friends, but it's really hard for me to get out there in a crowd and just be myself. When I'm around people I don't know I have a million thoughts going through my head - what if I do this wrong or say something wrong? and someone judges me? I won't be able to handle it.

I'm always tense, I can never relax. Over the years, I've gotten better at acting. People might think I'm calm, but I never really am.

I hope to talk to like-minded people here on the forum and hopefully discover ways to overcome our problems.

Practice mind control techniques, and this issue will begin to resolve itself almost instantly.
Try to envision a blank, yet dusty, chalkboard with nothing written on it.
There really isn't anything to worry so much about anyway.
