I'm 24 years of age and after a horrible spell of anxiety that re appeared when I had just turned 22, I'm the happiest and most humble I've been in my life, if you'd like a guide of what caused my anxiety or anything else, I'll always answer and I feel after getting through what I did, it's fate that I should try and help others. My top tip is to go out and get the following books, Control The Crazy by Vinny Guadagnino, instant Confidence by Paul McKenna, How To Change Your Life In 7 Days by Paul McKenna and Reinventing the body, resurrecting the soul by Deepak Chopra. The first book is based on a MTV reality star, my favorite part of this book is hearing someone that suffered anxiety first hand and how the ups and downs helped him to write the book. The second and third books I recommend helped me dealing with the outside world again as a part of my anxiety caused me not to even leave my house, these two books by Paul also come with a mp3 audio cd that I liked to listen too when going to sleep and when I woke up. Next thing is chamomile tea. Go and get it, whether it's a blend of apple or honey or by itself, I read on this forum by a very helpful member when I was suffering that it helped him out and boy was he right. I had this throughout the day and still have a tea before I go to bed. Helps you feel calm and alive. Trust me on this one! Go and enjoy your life again, if depression is getting you down then go and feel depressed outside on a night out or at the pictures or even something simple like a walk, because after my experience even if it's a change in your mood or a second where you forget your situation, the world is a beautiful place and lying in bed never works, trust me! Exercise was a big step for me. I had a treadmill in my room that wasn't being used. I'd lie in bed or on the couch feeling sorry for myself and as my anxiety began to ease I plucked up the courage to go on it. Yes I did die after maybe two minutes but I now run on it regularly for an hour a time and I don think there's a better confidence booster than leaving a treadmill knowing you worked up a sweat and did something to help your health!
