Hello everyone! I am a 29 year old male. I am 5'8" and 150 lbs, so a bit skinny. Anyway, I think I have been suffering with anxiety for the past 6-7 months, I just have never been officially diagnosed. As I've been reading everywhere, I did the whole thing where I went to the doctor multiple times and they had done an EKG, blood tests, breathing tests, etc. and they cannot find anything wrong with me. I suffer from bouts of dizziness, feeling like I'm short of breath, getting dizzy in the grocery line or while somewhere in public (the weirdest thing that I just cannot grasp), what feels like heart palpitations, running out of breath easily when talking and talking fast while I'm at it, sometimes I feel like I need to get everywhere (driving) as fast and as efficient as possible with no interruptions or unnecessary stops or I just get irritated, bouts of depression although this is rare and I usually pick myself back up again in no time, very mild pinching or tingling in the center of my chest, what sometimes feels like weird stomach issues, and one of the weirdest and scariest things: I get this feeling of pressure in my neck, face and top of my head when I make certain movements. Kind of like blood is rushing there really fast. It doesn't quite make me dizzy, but it reminds me of how when you were a kid and you held your breath and made your face turn red because you apply pressure in your muscles causing more blood to rush to your head or whatever. Know what I'm talking about? But yeah, it feels a lot like that, but not as severe as if you were forcing it. Does this all sound like anxiety to any of you?? Also, who do I need to see to be diagnosed and to get the proper help? I have literally made about 4-5 doctor visits in the past 6 months alone and they haven't mentioned anxiety once.

Jay:
Good afternoon. You should make an appointment with a psychologist or a therapist. They should be able to help you with your anxiety attacks and find the root of the problem. I have been having the same symptoms that you identify. Like you, I went to many doctors until my cardiologist was able to identify my anxiety attack symptoms.
Know that you are not alone on this, and we are here to help and support each other.

Hi Jev, Welcome to the forum. The forum does tend to get a little dead this time of year but trust me when i say your not alone. The symptoms that you are describing sound just like anxiety ( 30+ year sufferer here ) but i am not a doc. I, like you have ran the gauntlet of doctors and exams and have even drove myself to the ER twice thinking i was having a heart attack. When ever i go out i always have a feeling of " sickness " especially were there are a lot of people i.e. grocery stores my kids dance recitals or ball games. It is a battle and once you know FOR SURE that there is nothing physically wrong with you then you can start to manage you symptoms. I am not going to blow sunshine up your skirt it's not easy. I was on Paxil for 12 years and have been off for two but thinking about going back on. My suggestion is to cruise around the forum and read some of the threads and stickies and do not hesitate to ask questions. If you do not feel comfortable then you can PM me and i will answer you back when i can and i try to check often. Pardon the spelling and grammar but right now i am at work and really should not be on here :) Peace to ya and good luck.
