So last night I slept at my new apartment for the first time. The previous owner is a friend of mine and very sympathetic to my GAD. I officially move in on the 1st but since it's furnished he said I could sleep there for a night and check out the area.
Pros-it's super quiet and cozy. And I can walk to work.
Cons- the second I step out of the building I'm drop kicked into the craziest, busiest area of LA.

I took a walk around last night and my anxiety started going crazy. There are way too many people 24/7. And at night it turns into a complete drunken tourist madhouse. I really wana live here bc I got a great deal on it and it's convenient . But I see myself easily turning into a recluse again.

Any advice on how to deal with this dramatic new living situation?

Yes,
Jump into it with both feet and keep doing as much as you can in the neighbourhood.
I was almost agoraphobic once and once you become that they say its hard to break.
It's only anxiety so you gotta become involved even if you feel like throwing up all over the place and are sweating.
Your mind will get the hint. We live here now.
Remember YOU are in charge, not anxiety.

All the best
