I am reading "Painfully Shy" by Barbara G. Markway, Ph.D. and Greg P Markway Ph.D.
I came across an interesting chapter...how biological makeup can predispose a person to being painfully shy and having social phobia....
It says: Among Caucasian children, a shy temperament is more common in children with blue eyes. Although the exact mechanisms are not clear, iris pigmentation is associated with the concentration of certain neurotransmitters, and this may account for the connection between the two.
