Hi all - I have the dentist at the end of this month and as I have a severe phobia of it (even typing the word makes me retch) I was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice on how to deal with it? Thanks

Joe.

I have a phobia of the doctors, I can relate.
What I do is plan ahead, get a very lot of sleep beforehand, and try your best to breathe at a good pace while there. Also what helps me is to get a good song stuck in your head, keeps out any bad thought :)
You'll be fine!

Thank you Joe, I'll try the song and breathing!

Bring some comforting things with you...something to read, music to listen to (before you start), just things to keep yourself occupied.

I try to read but my brain starts querying again so I'm definitely going to try music, Thank you :)
