I had a major psychological breakthrough yesterday. Was able to trace back to where I learned to 'freeze' in front of angry people to my parents. Even spoke about this with loved ones and therapist. Was on cloud nine and feeling a renewed sense of confidence and lower anxiety.

Today woke up early and had to go downtown to a crowded noisy event and BAM. Felt completely overwhelmed and panicky.

Particularly cruel after such an effective day's work the day before.

Can anyone shed light on the non-linear nature of the healing process? The confusion is not doing me well....

2 steps forward, and 1 step back is still progress, right?

Forget about the bad day, embrace the good day! ( I'm a hypocrite saying this haha but it's true :) )

Hi Ankhsious

The following book touches on dealing with emotions from different points of view – Very Nonlinear and very effective for facing our fears: (I found the Audio book extremely easy to listen to whilst out walking!)
