Hi, i think i posted this before but cant find it to see if any one had more info

I have a hard sausage shaped lump that starts below my right ribs and kinda slants downwards, i have tried hard to feel it on the other side and really cant feel nothing really. Its fixed in place.

If i breathe in and tense my muscles in, the whole thing feels like a tubular lump, if i arch my back the lump is far more prominent and feel just cms under my skin
Goes 3-4 inches downwards before i cant feel it anymore (prob fat is covering it)

I've had ultrasounds and nothing come up but im worried sick maybe something was missed, they do them so quickly and because im so anxious about it then i dont ask questions.

Im interested if anyone else has this, gone for tests etc...
Thanks very much :D

I don't think your lump is anything serious. If that was your sole purpose of going to the ultrasound and that's what they were looking at and it came back clear, you're fine.

I have about 3-5 little lumps in my neck that I was so sure was lymphoma at first. I was actually crying on the ultrasound table and felt silly afterwards when I found out they were just benign lymph nodes. If your lump was tested and didn't appear to be a mass, it isn't anything too serious although you should try to find out ways to make it go away if possible. Maybe goto a specialist and see if there is any other tests that can be done.

Our bodies are filled with lumps and bumps that are usually only things like cysts and lymph nodes. Keep an eye on it.. if it is hard, feels attached to something and doesn't feel like you can move it around then you might want to go back to your doctor just to be sure.

Thanks Pumpkin - it is attached and hard so maybe ill go back.
I know what you mean, its so scary and my problem is because i cant say "yep thats just my muscle" i cant settle my mind, looking at diagrams of muscles, nothing in that region can explain it :'(

I've actually had 3 ultrasounds, each time i asked them to check the area and they did and said they couldnt see anything but couldnt tell me what it was. I think i am more defined on my right than left but its like its not there at all on my left. Appreciate the reply

I wouldn't stress much about it or freak yourself out until you have a reason to. My first lump I found on the left side of my neck is hard and feels attached... I freaked the hell out but made an appointment with my doctor right away and it happened to be benign. They tell you to get these hard feeling lumps and bumps tests just to be safe and by the looks of it, you are already pro-active which is great. Make another appointment.. odds are seeing as they already did the ultrasound 3 times and nothing serious came back, you're fine... but if going back for another ultrasound and to be reassured that you're okay is the only thing that will put your mind at ease then I say do it. Good luck & keep us updated on what's going on :D

Its difficult not to freak about it, 50% of me is telling me i'm being OTT as ive had scans and nothing came back but the other 50% is saying its not normal to have it there and its a mind set and i keep finding my self proding, poking and thinking about it, does my head in LOL. I do have the option of another ultrasound, be it private but its there if i need to. Seeing i have had 3 though and each time i was "right last one to be sure" i can see myself afterwards questioning stuff... i admit that health anxiety is playing a part in all this.

I'm happy your lumps are all benign, i can imagine its a scary time - you just jump to conclusions and fear the worst straight away, i definently do. Will post back if i get an appointment, thanks v.much Pumpkin x
