Hello,
I will go by the name "schwartzy" here, as I ran into a conflict on another site with my real name...bad idea, learned my lesson... I look forward to communicating with others who can better relate to my struggles with anxiety. I can fortunately say that my anxiety is improving compared to where I was a few years ago, but I still certainly have a ways to go and can benefit from advice from this community. I can say with confidence that my anxiety has been preventing me from living life the way I would like to...(asking out girls, voicing my opinion, fear of stuttering, fear of blushing, etc). It also makes it hard for me to relate to others, most recently my college roommate. We never got along well, and I feel that he was able to pick up on my anxious behavior--tense, stressed, think many things are awkward, can't relax, etc. I feel my anxiety was the reason behind a lot of our problems. I also feel unapproachable by others because of this, but anyway, that's a story for another time. I feel I will be able to seek good advice here and how to best manage the problems I'm sure to encounter soon down the road, as I do feel that my own social anxiety creates most of my problems. ;)
