First and foremost; I'm Jamie, 22, male and from Canada.

I had an anxiety attack about three years ago, however I overcame it and assumed that it would never come back.

But that changed when I was hit four months ago. I was at work and found it hard to breath. I literally felt ill. I went to the doctor and he prescribed Ativan in case of another one. Well, one night, I noticed that my heart rate had went up and that my blood pressure did as well. I went to the E.R. and they ran several tests on me. All in which came back normal. I was fine once again. One week after, I was monitored for blood pressure and it came back normal. I was fine for about a month. I then started having palpitations and some pain in my chest. My doctor assured me that it was anxiety symptoms and stress and that it's nothing that I should be worried about. But to ease my mind he sent me for more tests and all of them came back normal as well. I had a really bad heart palpitation this past Thursday night, went down to the E.R. because I was concerned and they found my heart rate was up once again. It was another anxiety attack. So, they put me on Paxil. I stopped taking it after consulting with my doctor whom agreed. Now I just have my life saving drug which is my Ativan. I used it three times and now know that I should take it as needed.

So, that's about all for me. I'm hoping for a promising success with the aid of everyone here and will support where I can. If you need to inquire more, don't hesitate to message me. I'm VERY friendly. :)

Wow Ativan.. don't you find that too strong if you take it during the day? I was given the impression from my doctor that i would probably fall asleep on the drug.

It does make me tired. But I'm on a VERY small dosage. It's just enough to get me through an attack.
