Hello everyone.
I am a 26 year old female, and I am suffering with anxiety and panic disorders. I was just recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and that was while I was at the emergency room for a panic attack. Ive been on treatment for a month now and my thyroid levels have already returned to normal on just 15 mg of Armour Thyroid daily. I have constant heart palpitations that started about a year ago, and have gotten much more frequent. I have begun to recognize my anxiety for what it is, but what i am not understanding is how for the most part, there is a trigger to the attack. In my case, there is none. I will be sitting watching television or doing dishes, and then I will get a quick heart flutter and an instant anxiety attack. It's becoming very discouraging, seeing as how I have given up everything that can cause both the heart palpitations and anxiety. I quit smoking, I started exercising, I am dieting, all of the above and then some. I am beginning to think that I am going to need a medication or something to help with the attacks. With a five year old daughter, its impossible to just be able to nurse an attack. I have to be ever present for her. So I have begun to reach out in hopes that my questions will get answered, I can find some support, and I can finally have some PEACE!!!
