Chat window relog, why does it keep logging you out of chat?

This is super annoying. It's eaten up a good few long responses I was giving someone. Why does it keep "timing out" ?

It's not logging you out of the site, so why does it log you out of chat?

Irish please use the small brush on the top of chat window to clear it out, do it often:))
